If you long for a coastal Devon destination wedding but don’t want the stress of making arrangements overseas, we are here to make your dreams come true. Ocean Kave offers a spectacular coastal setting for elopements, vow renewals, and small and intimate weddings.
The candlelit Kave is set within 60 acres of private grounds in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, overlooking the untamed Atlantic Ocean. We might be a little biased, but we can’t think of a more beautiful setting for a coastal wedding. Ocean Kave has won multiple awards for its exclusive destination weddings and we are proud to have created so many happy memories for our couples. We are also fortunate to have Westward Ho! Beach right on our doorstep. Stretching for over two and a half miles, the beach offers the perfect setting for romantic photo shoots.

Wedding photos on The Beach
Westward Ho! Beach has two and a half miles of beautiful golden sand. Most couples choose to dip their toes in the ocean after the ceremony for some fabulous beach wedding photos. We will make sure your photo shoot works perfectly with the order of the day and tide times.
Six beaches right on the doorstep!
We are lucky to be close to North Devon’s best beaches. If you are extending your stay with us in a bridal suite, why not take some time to explore nearby Saunton Sands, Instow, Hartland, Croyde, Combe Martin and Woolacombe? There are some great spots for romantic beach picnics, surfing, and stand-up paddleboarding.
Surf before the ceremony
There are no boundaries to your wedding day so if you need to hit the waves, that’s cool with us. We can recommend a fantastic local photographer who will go in with you to capture some unique photos. After all, North Devon is a newly designated World Surfing Reserve!
Access to our coastal grounds
We are truly spoiled for choice when it comes to backdrops for wedding photos. Just outside the Kave, we have private access to the South West Coast Path, providing a rugged coastal canvas for your wedding album. This is the photographers’ favourite spot, especially at sunset.
