Dee & Darren

A relaxed and perfectly personal wedding

In the enchanting realm of love, whirlwind, last-minute, or late availability weddings have become a remarkably popular choice for couples in 2023. Our Ocean Kave, a magical coastal wedding venue, is nestled within 60 acres of private grounds, offering breath taking views of some of the most exquisite locations on the North Devon Coast, including Lundy Island, Hartland Point, and Clovelly.

At Ocean Kave, we understand that the timeline for booking weddings varies for each couple. With our expertly designed elopement wedding packages, couples can experience incredible weddings with relatively short notice. Darren and Dionne, a couple who reached out to us in the summer for their beautiful elopement wedding in late September, are a testament to the magic of last-minute weddings.

Our inclusive elopement weddings packages, covering styling, catering, accommodation, and photography, allow couples to arrive and let our experienced team handle the wedding planning and coordination on the day. Darren and Dionne desired a laid-back and personal wedding on their terms, and we were thrilled to bring their vision to life.

The groom, looking dapper in his attire, and the stunning bride, adorned in a white floor-length gown with a detailed lace bodice and cape, created a vision of perfection. Dee added her personal touch with fabulous boots, adding a unique flair to the couple's wedding photos.

Following a romantic ceremony, the couple enjoyed a delightful photoshoot with Jon Malyn from Indigo Perspective before savouring a wonderful vegan wedding supper in the privacy of their honeymoon cottage.

When asked why they chose Ocean Kave, the couple shared, "North Devon was the first place we had been on holiday together, and it had really become our favourite place to visit as a couple. Ocean Kave truly is awesome in the true sense of the word, with sea views and a coastal path just a short walk from the accommodation—it was the perfect spot for us!"

The most memorable part of the day for the couple was the beautiful ceremony itself—everyone involved was friendly and lovely. Leaving the venue as husband and wife to the sea views, with the sun beaming down, sharing a bottle of fizz and chocolate cake—just the two of them—was a perfect moment.

When asked for advice for other couples considering planning an elopement wedding, Dee and Darren enthusiastically replied, "Do it! It really meant we could spend the day at peace, alone together, and focusing solely on what the day was meant for—celebrating our love! We had the most relaxing and loving weekend ever, and we wouldn't have changed a thing. Thank you so much to everyone at Ocean Kave for making our day so special!"
