Real Weddings - Devon coastal wedding full of Scottish charm

What a wonderful romantic setting for Di and Drew’s coastal Scottish influenced wedding this October.

October 2016

This wonderful wedding was full of surprises and personal touches that made the wedding truly unique to the couple.  Many of the guests had travelled from all over the UK to be at the couples Big Day, this made Ocean Kave the ideal venue with our on site accomodation for up to 60 guests.

The groom paid tribute to his Scottish heritage in a dashing kilt teamed with elegant cream rose buttonhole.  Di looks absolutely beautiful in a satin halter neck dress that had been customised to suit her own personal style.

This was such a happy day, fun, love and laughter filled the venue.   The bride was led to the  Kave to start her grand bridal entrance by an authentic Scottish piper, her entourage looked stunning in an array of deep purple and lilac gowns.

After a welcome reception full of fizz and fun, and lots of fabulous photos within the grounds, the couple chose a delicious 3 course meal for their wedding breakfast in the Sunset Rooms.  The styling consisted of accents of purple with elegant candelabras.

The evening party started with a wonderful Elvis tribute act that certainly got everyone in the mood.

The couple enjoyed an amazing Ocean sunset and danced the night away before retiring to their 5 star bridal suite.

Quote from Di (Mrs. Anderson)

“We chose ocean Kave because we wanted something unique, different and within a beautiful setting that also had accommodation for guests that were traveling so they could be close by.

For there were two most memorable parts of the day, the first was being stood outside the Kave just before I walked in with my son on my arm hearing the music start and looking at the view to calm my nerves. The second was walking into the sunset room as husband and wife with all our family and friends in there and seeing how amazing it all looked.

My number one tip is try not to panic over the little things that might not go quite to plan and if being the center of attention is not your thing (as this was my big problem) just look into your husbands eyes, you'll soon forget every one else is there!”
