When Charlotte and Louise viewed Ocean Kave on Christmas eve 2014 they fell in love with romantic winter scene before them and were enchanted by how the venue would be on a magical summer’s day. The couple were not disappointed on 1st August when they woke up in their luxury cottages to perfect weather.
Keen not to break with the tradition where the couple don’t see each other until the ceremony, Louise got ready in Sadler’s Cottage and Charlotte prepared for the nuptials in Frankie’s Cottage. They both looked beautiful in full length lace-backed dresses; Louise opted for a lace dress with wide straps and a sweetheart neckline while Charlotte looked stunning in a cream satin V-necked dress embellished with lace and crystals. The bridesmaids wore mint green chiffon to complement the wedding’s relaxed beach theme.
Louise and Charlotte were driven separately in Ocean Kave’s 4x4 vehicles, where they met near the Kave to share a special moment together before walking down the aisle hand in hand.
Following the ceremony, the guests enjoyed drinks on the lawn before returning to the Sunset Rooms for a barbeque. An ice-cream station, photo booth and lawn games added to the relaxed atmosphere and were enjoyed by guests of all ages. Personal, funny, poignant speeches rounded up the afternoon and induced much laughter and an equal amount of tears.
At sunset , the brides and their bridesmaids were driven to the beach where photographer Marc Collins captured exquisite images of the bridal party with Ocean Kave nestled in the background. The fun of the day continued with the evening celebrations, with music by “Dave Can’t Dance” (everyone did!).
Charlotte and Louise’s day was filled with fun and magic. It was such an honour to help them make it all just how they wanted it and they both had a fantastic day. There were tears on the following Monday when the newlyweds came to say “goodbye”. They both loved the ease of staying on site and were delighted with the beautiful flowers and accommodating service from their florists, Twigs.
The day was a perfect reflection of the couple’s fun loving, relaxed nature and their absolute devotion to each other. We wish them every happiness for their future together and hope to see them back at the cottages soon!
