Libby and Andrew’s spirits were not dampened by the unpredictable English weather and despite grey clouds, they shared a stunning day with their friends and family.
Having proposed at a nearby beach, both wanted to start their journey together with the sweet scent of the sea in the air. They wanted a relaxed atmosphere with formal element; when we first met the couple, they both fell in love with the location and we were delighted to be given the opportunity to help create their ideal day.
The couple’s love of the ocean was reflected in the colours selected for the day; ocean turquoise and pastel blue sashes on the chairs were complemented by rope tied napkin rings, and a stunning three tiered wedding cake in sea hues complete with edible “rope” edging. The family had sourced pebbles, which were used as place names.
The groom and his party exuded casual panache in white linen shirts, flip flops and board shorts (beige linen for the best man and ushers, blue for the Groom), whilst, Libby looked utterly breathtaking in a bespoke dress designed for her by her Godmother. Libby’s bridesmaid wore a stunning dress in ice blue.
Following a beautiful service, complete with singing from one of the guests, the guests were served canapés, prosecco, beer and soft drinks in the Ocean Kave, after which guests retired to the Sunset Rooms for the wedding breakfast. Every second of the day was precious and by the evening, Mr. and Mrs. Hooper looked radiant and ready for a lifetime together.
Libby and Andrew’s wedding demonstrated how less really can be more; the simple elegance of the occasion made it unforgettable for all involved.
The team hugely enjoyed working with Libby, Andrew and their families to help create a day that reflected both their individuality and their union. We wish them a future filled with laughter and many more happy days by the sea.
