Real Weddings - The Unique Wedding of Lowri and Lee

April 2015

It was such a joy to host the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Harris at Ocean Kave.  Lowri and Lee had hunted high and low for a coastal wedding venue that not only looked fantastic but offered flexibility so that the couple could pass the day in their own distinctive style. They were thrilled when they found Ocean Kave; a venue that promised to bring their wedding dreams to fruition.

Lowri and Lee knew instantly that Ocean Kave, with its personal wedding planning service, was the place for them. We knew that their wedding would be a fantastic opportunity for the team at Ocean Kave to work their magic and create the perfect, bespoke wedding experience that the couple so dearly wanted.

The couple wanted to create a relaxed and chilled celebration of their love; a day which would cater for guests of all ages and which would reflect their love for each other and their hopes for the future.  In addition to becoming husband and wife, Lowri and Lee wanted the day to be utterly unique and personal, just like them, and a memorable experience for both their guests and each other.

Lowri looked simply stunning in a beautifully fitted red dress that had been handmade and designed to order; the red theme was continued with the outfits of all the bridal party, creating a striking, romantic effect against the natural greens and blues of the setting.

Not ones to follow convention, the day started at 2pm with vintage games, candy floss, popcorn and ice cream on the lawns overlooking the sea. The ceremony took place later in the afternoon and was concluded with a magical hand-fasting ceremony with the maid of honour.

The couple were lucky enough to win a competition with Rock ‘n’ Roll Bride, which won them free photography with Vevi Wedding Photrography who were perfectly placed to capture stunning images of their fun-filled day.

From start to finish, they day was filled with special details. Every element had some significance; the cake was decorated with maple leaves (Lowri was born in Canada) and cherry blossom (which are featured in Lee’s tattoos) whilst a ribbon of paper featuring words to the couple’s song formed part of Lee’s buttonhole, where they would be forever by his heart.

Every Ocean Kave wedding is a reflection of the couple, their past, present and future but it can safely be said that Lee and Lowri had a distinctive wedding day that will be remembered by everyone present for many years to come.

We were delighted that Ocean Kave offered the unique levels of service that the couple sought and wish them much love and happiness in the future.
