In a fabulous white party style charity event
Ocean Kave is now well known in the South West as an award winning wedding venue, word is now out that we also offer a fantastic venue and facilities for corporate and charity events.
We were delighted to have been approached by Mr. and Mrs. Sparrey to assist with their summer fund raising event in aid of the Bideford Christmas lights. The turning on of the Christmas lights in Bideford is a high profile event for the town, its gets bigger every year and brings so much joy to so many people of all ages.
Jennifer and Darren wanted something completely different to WOW their guests, we love a challenge at Ocean Kave so when we were told by our clients that they wanted an Ibiza style white party we could not wait to get started on the planning.
The styling was an array of white, feather boas, and sparkles and over sized balloons, which are very en vogue this season for weddings.
Our head chef created a delicious assortment of canapés and sharing platter food, which accompanied the theme, this was completed with a sparkling tower of profiteroles decorated with choux swans and a white chocolate sauce. This coupled with a continuous flow of fine Italian Prosecco was the perfect way to embrace the theme of the event.
Whole event from start to finish was an absolute joy to be part of; we even managed to arrange for well renowned International DJ Trevor Rockcliffe to make a guest PA during the evening celebrations. Trevor is used to playing for crowds of up to 30,000 so Ocean Kave was a pleasant surprise and I am told he thoroughly enjoyed it and wants to come back! DJ Ben Casey ensured that the dance floor was full all night, which is array of chilled out beach classics and dance tracks
All in the all the evening was a success and we were honoured to have been able to play a small part in the turning on of the lights this year.
Sincere thanks to the amazing Gareth Williams of GRW photography and Trevor Rockcliffe for your support that evening bringing Ibiza to Westward Ho! Gareth’s fantastic images really captured the spirit of the event and we cant wait to welcome him back again soon.
