Even the gales of Storm Brian couldn’t put a dampener on Molly and Darren’s beautiful Ocean Kave coastal wedding.
We were delighted to welcome Molly and Darren to Ocean Kave for a private viewing of Ocean, we knew that bride to be Molly was well known professional in the South West wedding industry so we were absolutely over the moon to have been chosen as her venue for the Big Day in October 2017.
The couple chose to have our beautiful circle of love style seating for the ceremony. Darren who is a Sergeant in the REME British Army looked dapper in his uniform; there was not a dry eye in the Kave when Molly made her grand entrance on the arm of her proud father. Molly was absolutely stunning, her dress was a two piece skirt and bodice designed by Martina Liana and purchased from a bespoke bridal boutique in Plymouth called Sam Cox.
After an emotional personal ceremony the couple treated their guests to an assortment of Pimped Proseccos and cloudy lemonades. Storm Brian was the uninvited wedding gate crasher but he he got the message very quickly that he was not welcome and there was no way he was going to spoil this couples magical wedding day! Ocean Kave is a fabulous all weather venue, we have three licenced locations within the grounds which means we can adapt to almost any weather situation if needed.
When asked why they chose Ocean Kave as their venue the couple said
“We knew we wanted something different for our wedding but Ocean Kave took this to a whole new level. The location is BEAUTIFUL, fantastic views and close enough to the beach for photos! The Kave is so cosy and romantic yet big enough for our large family and when lit with candles, it truly is breath taking. We loved how the sunset rooms gave us a blank canvas to bring any theme we desired and the staffs are all super friendly. The added bonus of the Westward Living Cottages meant we didn’t hesitate to book even though we weren’t local. Which by the way, are also absolutely fantastic! “
After a sumptuous three course wedding breakfast the party got into full swing, the couple chose well known Devon based artists the award winning Swing Kings. The atmosphere was electric and the venue was full of love, laughter & delicious sweets!
We love hearing from couples what were the highlights of their wedding day, here are Molly and Darren’s comments
Darren commented “The food! Just kidding, but it was pretty darn special. Thanks chef!”
Molly said, “As cheesy as it sounds, walking into the Kave and seeing Darren stood with all of our families and friends was amazing. Being married to him is the best feeling ever. Storm Brian hit our day pretty hard and at first I was gutted and you know what, there was absolutely nothing to stress about. If anything, the storm made it so much more memorable. We had the best time going to the beach, my hair was ruined and our sparklers were cancelled but none of that mattered. Our families were together and the whole day went so smoothly thanks to Adrian and the Ocean Kave team.”
Thank you Molly and Darren and to Freckle photography, for sharing your magical wedding memories with us.
