When you dream of a summer wedding, you dream of azure skies, flaming sunsets and guests in floating florals. While, thanks to the whims of the Great British Summer, those idyllic summer days can’t always be relied upon, when they do happen, we see wedding perfection at Ocean Kave.
Adam and Teya’s midsummer nuptials were perfectly planned to represent the couple’s easy-going, summer-loving personalities. From the vintage camper van to the bespoke gin bar, we think that their day was as fun, unique and beautiful as they are.
With the ceremony to commence at 2 p.m. the couple chose to have the bar in our rustic barn from 1 o’clock so that guests could get to know eachother before over a pre-ceremony drink. As the bridal party were collected from Royal Celerity, the guests were the cordially invited to the Ocean Kave, which was bedecked in candles and with a stunning floral arch at the entrance.
Teya and her bridesmaids looked simply divine; the bridesmaids in hues of light blue and violet, while Teya looked bewitching in a cream lace dress and hand-tied bouquet; there was barely a dry eye as the beautiful bride was given away by her two older brothers. After the service, guests enjoyed a delicious glass of Pimm’s, an ice cold beer and games on the lawn while Teya and Adam headed to the beach for photos to capture their perfect beach wedding.
As you can imagine with Teya’s incredible style and attention to detail, every part of the day had been considered. Speeches followed the delicious 3-course meal after which guests were invited to enjoy the balmy summer day with a selection of gins prepared in the couple’s very own gin bar on the lawn. Simple sophistication was the order of the day, and the gin cocktails were no exception: Hendricks and cucumber, Gordon’s pink gin with summer berries, Ophir with orange and grapefruit and Bloom with lime and rosemary were matches made in heaven. Guests could complete their perfect gin cocktail with a tonic of their choice; fever tree, of course.
No party would be complete without a photo booth and in keeping with their theme, a vintage camper booth rolled up at 7 to entertain guests and provide lasting memories of a magical day. As you can expect from the perfect couple on the perfect day, the sunset was also flawless. As the sun slid behind the Atlantic ocean, halfway between Lundy and Hartland Point, the happy couple and their guests continued to celebrate the couple’s love for each other and bright future together with music, dancing and yet more laughter.
It was such an honour to have been chosen by Teya and Adam as the place that they wanted to start the rest of their life and we are thrilled that they had such a fantastic day. We wish them all the very best for the future and hope to welcome them back for wedding anniversary in the future.
